A Quick Bio

Registered Dietitian

All RD/RDNs hold a bachelors degree or higher and complete an internship with 1200+ hours supervised practice before taking the national exam. Continuing education is also required, on an ongoing basis.

Most recently, Christy earned her master's degree from NCCU, and she also holds bachelors degrees from NCCU and UNC-Chapel Hill. She specializes in weight management, nutrition for families and intuitive eating. She loves helping clients with meal planning and is a proponent of plant-forward nutrition.

Former Chef

Before focusing on nutrition, Christy cooked professionally for over a decade in restaurants around Chapel Hill and Durham, NC. She also catered independently for private events both large and small. Always drawn to farmer's markets, she developed relationships with local producers and offered demonstrations and classes that featured fresh, healthful dishes.

Everything else

In her free time, Christy rides bikes, hikes and cooks every day. She sews ocassionally and is usually found outdoors tending the yard and/or her young kiddos who love to play and get dirty.
